I am going to New York to my brother Marc's house. It will be nice because he just bought a new house and this is the first holiday we are celebrating there. I will share anything noteworthy after Thursday.

I expect that there will be some limitations because it is a free site. Sorry. We will have to do the best we can. you could type your responses in a word document or note and them cut and paste it into the discussion to avoid losing your super witty responses- we don't want that

Oh, no, Sally... I am so sorry to hear that the one thing that you could eat turned on you. I am also a vegetarian and have a similar experience when I go for holiday dinners, but it sounds like you may be an even more picky eater than I am- amazing.

Sally....What I really need to know is, was it worth it? I mean, Paula Deen macaroni and cheese? I think I would endure stomach pains for something like that. I have a really sensitive stomach myself so I know how debilitating that can be but sometimes I just can't help myself.

Oooh no! Am so sorry Sally. If it makes you feel better I also had a normal and plain thanksgiving I was soo tired and my tummy wasn't making it any better. Just visited a friend and slept on her couch all evening due to last Saturday's wedding exhaustion that I had accumulated, plus the pregnancy is making me sleepy all day. In shot sleep has changed my normal routine pattern.

For Thanksgiving I got up let out the 9 dogs (7 of mine and 2 I was dog sitting) went out and let out the two chicken coops, fed the 5 horses and shoveled poop (they don't stop pooping on holidays) I went in the house and got out of my barn gear and took a shower (my family is not animal crazy like I am) got cleaned up and drove to Stratham to my parental units house to have dinner with my Brother his wife and 2 girls who attend Holy Cross, and my moms best friend and of course my husband.... the turkey was great but no surprise as I raised it myself ;) ..... My mom made me a tiny sugar free apple pie and that was yummy ..... I was tired after it all so we left and hit Best Buy and Kohls in Portsmouth and scored some good deals then after dealing with the craziness of the shopping lines we headed home to Farmington for me to do Pm chores with all my critters and yep you guessed it more poop to shovel........ after that I flopped flat on myface in bed :) that was my T-day

Wow! Sounds like you couldn't have fit anything else into that busy day even if you tried! Wish I could've tried your turkey, I wonder how they taste compared to the store bought ones.

I tried a home raised turkey once and it was REALLY good so I bet it was delicious.

Wow, Heather, you had a very busy day. It is not very nice of your critters to not give you the day off from poop shoveling. I am disappointed in them. :)

Agreed with Lindsay. Just seeing the cars parked outside the stores made me anxious. Were people nice? No shoving right?

Hello All! My thanksgiving was wonderful! Lots of driving. First we went to my mother's in Hopkinton, which is just north of Concord (about an hour from my house in Middleton). She and my stepfather had prepared a great meal, turkey, gravy, squash, mashed potatoes, carrots, green bean casserole, and my grandfather's french meat stuffing(mmmmmm!). Of course I could only eat a small portion but I packed a doggie bag and we headed off back home. After we let the pooches out and fed and watered them we went to Dover (forty minutes from my house) to my bother in law and sister in law's house. We met my sister in law's family from Virginia and had a blast! I held my one month old nephew for about four hours until my husband pried him from my hands at 10pm so we could go home. Finally back home, we put the girls to bed, put away our left overs, sat on the couch with a glass of pinot grigio and our fur babies and watched Christmas movies. Great day to give thanks for all the blessings in our lives.

Congrats on the nephew! First for you? Sounds like a wonderful thanksgiving. Especially the ending. Do you have the same rules that i have for my sister- no christmas music or movies till after thanksgiving? (She literally waits till we cut pies and than turns on the movies!)

I have to say that is one of the best Thanksgiving story so far. I can relate to the bringing your furbaby and then not having them appreciated. It is a bummer that your baby had to stay in the car all day. Whenever I go to NY to visit my family I have to leave mine in the car as well.

I feel bad having to answer but yes I am planning on having a quiz tomorrow. It will be reminiscent of the activity that we did in class. I might even let you do it at the end or middle of class after we do some more practice.

Sorry for the frustration but thank you for your persistence. It is odd that it works on some devices for some of you but not for others. We will do the best we can and I will consider it as a factor in the future.

My Thanksgiving was just an ordinary one, I visited friends and eat the normal food with just turkey as an added delicacy. I was soo tired to go anywhere after that since my baby keeps kicking in my tummy all day. Heavy sleep is also taking over my normal life. But all in all I can't wait to see my first babys smile and face. Its such a confusing but nice experience to be pregnant. You don't know what to expect when expecting.
